I was poking around on my server and found ElasticTable. ElasticTable is a javascript widget that adds ‘fish eye’ zooming to a HTML table. I made it years ago but I’d forgotten about it. It’s fun to play with and I think the concept has potential – especially on a mobile device. Fish eye zooming provides a means to add detail without losing context.
I haven’t looked at the code. When I look at old code I get the same feelings of shock and nostalgia as looking at old photos – “why did I ever think that hair looked good?!”
